The Recap: Style Bloggers of Color Conference

I am still in awe and swimming in this sea of inspiration, and ability to do anything that I put my mind to do ever since going to the Style Blogger of Color first annual conference also known as Mattiepalooza. SBOC that took place in Atlanta, GA at INK gallery was nothing short of resourceful.
As part of her birthday celebration that she thought up a year ago Mattie of, brought together some of the most amazing bloggers and industry insiders who shared their knowledge of the blogging industry broken down into a series of panels. The panels included, Content is King, Consistency is Queen, Making Your Mark in Social Media, Brands: What They Are Looking For and How to Get To Them, and One Blog; Many Hustles. Some of the panelists included Kimberly Walker of and, PR guru Nicole Garner of The Garner Circle, beauty editor of Tia Williams (ESSENCE, InStyle, Teen People), Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista, Christen Rochon of Divas and Dorks, celebrity stylist Charles Wade (Solange Knowles), CurlBox creator Myleik Teele, and Katie Croteau of Google to name a few. More than information the conference was a buffet full of beautiful fashions, vendors who showcased their talents and just a good time with no pretense. I was able to get the information necessary to move forward with Miss Merli in NYC in a way that I never imagined.
